Guild.cv is an invite-only network. You must be invited by an existing member or approved from the waitlist. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or revoke membership at our discretion — typically when a profile misrepresents work history, credentials, or identity.
You own everything you publish on Guild.cv. By publishing it you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and serve it via the Guild.cv website and any downstream surfaces (sitemap, search indexing, shareable cards). You can revoke this licence by deleting your profile.
Don't misrepresent your role, venue, dates, or credentials. We verify by sampling — if we catch a falsified entry, we'll revoke membership without notice.
When you request a reference, the colleague's response (if they accept) appears publicly on your profile. We reserve the right to remove reference text that violates community standards (harassment, defamation, or content unrelated to the role being verified).
Tag only people you genuinely worked with, at venues you genuinely worked at. Tags are proposals until the other person confirms; disputed or fabricated tags can be removed and repeated abuse costs you your membership. Personal invites exist to bring real colleagues in — five new people per role — not for mass outreach.
Claim a profile on the public lineage graph only if it is about you. Claims are reviewed; claiming someone else's profile is grounds for immediate removal. Once claimed, the profile becomes your member profile and these terms apply to it.
The curated career graph is compiled from public sources and provided for reference. It may contain errors; corrections and removal requests are honoured via the request form on each page. Don't scrape it, republish it wholesale, or use it to build contact lists — it exists so the industry can see where careers come from, not as a database product.
Don't use the contact relay to spam, harass, or solicit outside the spirit of professional outreach. We rate-limit by IP and may block addresses or domains that abuse the system.
Guild.cv is provided as-is. We aren't responsible for outcomes of professional decisions made on the basis of profile content (yours or others'). We don't guarantee the accuracy of references beyond the structural verification we perform.
We'll update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes are emailed to members at least 14 days before they take effect.
